LTA Training Booklets

Brief

Having worked previously with LTA coaches Dan Thorp and Rob Antoun on the Tennis Parents website project, we were offered the opportunity to tender a proposal for a series of training booklets, produced by the LTA, giving advice and guidance to tennis coaches. There was a requirement for each of the guides to have a different cover, but with a similar, recognisable theme running through. There was also a need to work within the identity guidelines of the LTA.

Solution

For the LTA Training booklets, we were supplied with some fantastic photographs of tennis stars in action, including the, then upcoming British tennis star, Andy Murray. The quality of the images and the LTA guidelines made designing the covers a straightforward job, although care was still taken that the colours and typefaces used would transfer comfortably across all covers. The artwork had to be designed for print, with each of the covers being created in high resolution using Adobe InDesign and Adobe Photoshop. Discussions were held with the printers and crop marks added before pre-flight, with the final versions being produced as hi-res, print quality PDF’s.
