BIBA Conference & Exhibition
The British Insurance Brokers Association (BIBA) hold their conference and exhibition in Manchester once a year. The event is organised and managed by event management company Campaign Partners.
In 2016, we partnered with IT Infrastructure specialists, Tridata Solutions to work with Campaign Partners to deliver a new digital strategy to optimise and streamline the organistaion and management of exhibitors.
Part of this strategy was a new website featuring membership access enabling exhibitors to login and set up their company profile, access information and complete the many forms required to exhibit.
The BIBA Conference and Exhibition is the largest event of it’s kind in Europe and describes itself as “the most important event in the insurance calendar’. Every year, there are over 200 exhibitors and over 7,000 visitors over two days taking part in several events including the conference, seminars, fringe sessions, Young Broker days and new digital initiatives as well as the exhibition itself.
There is always great demand for the event which can put a strain on the website at peak times such as registration periods. To combat this, we have reduced, optimised and streamlined the site as well as using caching and load balancing to ensure a fast and trouble-free delivery.
The site has been built using WordPress combined with a series of third-party and bespoke plugins to extend the functionality. The design, build, hosting and ongoing maintenance have all been carried out by Tridata Solutions and North Devon Design.
Alongside the main event in Manchester, Campaign Partners also manage a smaller, one-day event for BIBA called BIBA Scotland. This event has it’s own website, which is a reduced version of the parent site.
Each year a new theme is applied to both the BIBA and BIBA Scotland sites and new functionality is added as the sites develop. So far, we have built sites for 2017, 2018 and 2019.
