Equine massage

One of the great things about looking after businesses branding and websites is the variety of work we get in.

Ok, being in North Devon, we have built quite a few holiday related websites but as a rule, no two jobs are the same.

That can make the job more interesting but also more challenging as with each client we need to get ‘under the bonnet’ so to speak and find out what they do, how they do it and who they do it for.

We recently undertook some work for a training company called Animal Therapy Solutions. Again, we have worked with training companies before in the past, but this training company offers a service we never knew existed.

Animal Therapy Solutions, or ATSL as they are more commonly known is a training company run by Animal Physiotherapist Helen Tompkins and the training they offer is equine massage courses.

Moreover, they offer an incredibly specialised equine massage course for Equine Sports Massage. This is a highly accredited and respected qualification that requires a background in massage to undertake. Gaining the Level 4 diploma in equine sports massage guarantees the graduate entry to the AHPR, a professionals register which in turn enables the graduate to get the insurance required to practice.

Not knowing much about massage, or horses or anything at all about equine sports massage, we had some reading to do before we got going on this job.
