Charter Vets

The Client

Charter Vets are a long established veterinary practice based in North Devon who have become the regions leading practice, offering two veterinary hospitals at Mullacott in Ilfracombe and Roundswell in Barnstaple. Initially, they covered all aspects of animal care from small animals and pets through to farm animals and equine. A while back they acquired another veterinary company which covered the Bideford area which created a new company called Torch Vets. Torch now care for farm and equine, while Charter Vets focus on small animals.

The Brief

We first began working for Charter Vets back in 2004. They had a very simple website which offered no way of updating it themselves. The company were expanding and needed a more modern looking site with extra functionality. A Content Management System was required and a fresh new redesign to bring the site up to date.

The Solution

We redesigned their website and created a bespoke Content Management System. Since then the site has seen many transformations and updates and has been moved to the WordPress platform to allow Charter staff to upload blogs and news articles.

Extra features have been added such as user registration which enables the user to re-order prescription and book surgery time slots. You Tube videos can now be embedded into the site to create rich content.

As well as benefiting from our Web Design expertise, Charter Vets have also benefited from our Managed Hosting services and SEO knowledge to help lift the site higher in Goolge and other search engines.

We are very proud to have managed the Charter Vets website for 10 years now and continue to do so into the future, constantly refreshing the design, increasing the functionality and improving the SEO capabilities.
