Appledore Book Festival
Back in 2016 we were asked by a local design company to help with the ecommerce side of the Appledore Book Festival website. The website sells memberships and tickets online. The site was working when we stepped in but required some updating and some features adding to help with the administration of the event.
The site was already built in WordPress using WooCommerce and a selection of compatible plugins. We were able to streamline the amount of plugins to simplify the process and add extra features. The design was supplied, so our only role was to work on the ecommerce development.
We worked closely with the people who manage the event to make sure that the site done everything they required, including the purchasing of ‘friends’ membership tickets, and the management of tickets sold via the phone or at the box office. We continued to work closely for the next two years.
