What is web hosting?

For your Web site to be accessible on the Internet, it will need to be stored on a computer that is connected to the Internet permanently. This computer is known as a 'Host' computer.

A 'Host' Computer is a powerful 'Server' that is never switched off, so is available 24/7 all year round.

In effect, hosting is renting space on one of these Server computers and this is subject to a yearly charge.

Our Web Hosting Service

As part of our service, we offer Web Hosting. We offer 3 packages. A basic package, advanced and Premium. For most clients, our Basic Hosting package is sufficient and this costs £49 per year.

The Advanced and Premium packages are designed for more advanced or user intensive sites. We will discuss the options with you before we begin work on your site.

We only offer hosting as a service to our clients who have had a Web site built by us.

Our Web Hosting service is not compulsory. Our clients are welcome to arrange their own hosting if they wish, but for some clients who want database driven sites, e-commerce or secure hosting, we will recommend that your Web site is hosted with us.
